A Day in the Life

The Senior Corporate Account Manager is responsible for maximizing Medtronic’s contractual position and commercial performance with Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs) and large hospital systems nationwide. This role leads enterprise level relationship management, contract lifecycle execution, and portfolio wide commercial strategy to drive revenue growth, margin optimization, and long term strategic partnerships. The position partners closely with Operating Units (OUs) and cross functional teams to ensure effective contract execution, post award performance, and sustained value creation.

Responsibilities

  • Execute strategic account plans aligned to customer needs and organizational objectives, leveraging the EA Blueprint business planning process.
  • Lead enterprise contract lifecycle management, including pre‑contract strategy, negotiation, execution, and fulfillment, in partnership with Pricing & Contracting teams.
  • Engage early on expiring contracts to ensure competitive positioning and maximize Medtronic’s contractual outcomes.
  • Develop and lead post‑award execution plans with OU field teams and Strategic Account Liaisons to drive contract performance and revenue realization.
  • Execute enterprise commercial initiatives including new product introductions, bulk agreements, pricing discipline, and ASP management.
  • Build and sustain trust‑based relationships with supply chain, contracting, administrative, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales leadership, OU partners, pricing, finance, supply chain, and service teams to deliver integrated customer solutions.
  • Monitor account performance using analytics and CRM tools to identify growth opportunities and mitigate risk.
  • Create accurate forecasts, manage opportunities, and provide actionable insights to inform enterprise strategy.
  • Proactively lead internal alignment across senior stakeholders to drive consensus and execution of complex contracting initiatives.
  • Serve as a thought leader by shaping enterprise‑level contracting strategies and advising leadership on market trends, risks, and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree with minimum of 7 years of relevant sales experience, including enterprise or IDN level contracting and account management
    OR an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant sales and leadership experience
  • Demonstrated experience in account management, sales, or contracting roles with enterprise‑level customers.
  • Experience managing and executing contracts across the full lifecycle, from strategy through post‑award execution.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional collaboration and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, execute strategically, and deliver measurable commercial outcomes.
  • Proficiency in opportunity management, forecasting, and use of CRM and analytics tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working with Integrated Delivery Networks (IDNs), large hospital groups, or within healthcare or medical device industries.
  • Experience engaging senior internal leaders (VP, RVP, DM) and external executive‑level stakeholders.
  • Deep expertise in pricing strategy, ASP optimization, and competitive positioning.
  • Advanced business and financial acumen related to enterprise offer and contract design.
  • Strong project management capabilities and experience with contract management platforms.
  • Familiarity with corporate account organizational models and enterprise sales structures.
  • Experience serving as a strategic advisor or thought leader in complex contracting environments.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$171,000 - $285,000

This position is eligible for an annual long-term incentive plan.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others). In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP), which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals.
