The Sales Director will be responsible for leading growth sales initiatives within the assigned region made up of District Managers, sales representative, and strategic sales. We are seeking a committed professional to join our team, required to reside within the territory and drive to multiple accounts throughout the region. This will be a flexible role San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

  • Plans, directs, and monitors the activities of a sales team within a specified region/district/geography to achieve established sales targets
  • Develops and/or implements business strategies for existing and potential accounts
  • Manages the day-to-day activities of a sales team to implement the organization's overall sales strategy for an assigned region/district/geography
  • Develops and maintains strong relationships with all key account personnel and relevant functions to support selling, market development, service efforts and clinical programs
  • Identifies opportunities and develops new programs to meet the organization's sales plans to increase market share
  • Assesses need for the addition of new selling programs and processes, conducts competitive analysis, and implements strategies
  • Coach sales representatives on the technical aspects of the organization's products and services; on marketing campaigns and sales promotions; and on sales techniques, procedures, and standards that will help them achieve their sales targets
  • evaluates effectiveness of current programs

Required Knowledge and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Ten years of experience in sales, business development and management and leadership knowledge to lead multiple job areas within a country, region or business
  • Eight years of leadership experience
  • Requires understanding of organizational context and comprehensive knowledge of the market sector and environment Previous experience in regional or multicultural roles, preferably in Latin America
  • Experience working with medical device distributors
  • Fluent in English
  • Sales-oriented
  • MS Office Suite knowledge
  • Strategic vision
  • Leadership through influence
  • Effective communication
  • Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team
  • Master’s degree and/or Experience in the medical device, health technology, or related industries is a plus is advantageous
