Position Description:
Pain Interventions Sales Rep 1 for Medtronic, Inc. headquartered in Minneapolis, MN. Assist with managing a territory base business and growth for the Neuromodulation and interventional medical devices by initiating, supporting and developing key referral networks and strategic implanting centers. Responsible for developing referral networks, being the account/implanter relationship contact for assigned territory’s customer needs including account level reimbursement responsibility. Coordination of all support activities and development of sales partnerships with distribution alliances. Educate and train physicians and allied health professionals on the use of Medtronic products and operating room procedures and the function of devices and algorithms. Teach and educate medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel. Assist in selling and servicing products to Pain management, Physiatrist, Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Primary Care Physician, General Practitioner, for Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Pain-Pumps, Radio Frequency (RF) Ablation, Kyphon, Emprint, and Osteocool. Participate in clinical study discussion both reviewing published data and supporting the implant/follow up of both industry-supported and physician-initiated research. Provide ongoing field intelligence reports on competitive activity, changes in markets, distribution, and pricing as well as input on customer preference and product features. Responsible for account, inventory, expense, and budget coordination. Program Pain Stim patients intraoperatively in the Operating Room setting and assist in troubleshooting of Intrathecal Drug Delivery Systems. Provide technical support in the operating room and conducting In-Services to operating room staff and personnel. #LI-DNI
Must be able to travel 50%-75% within the Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bronx, NY area to visit hospitals and physicians’ offices. Must work remotely from home office within a 25-mile radius from the service area of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bronx, NY territory. Relocation assistance not available for this position.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Sales Management, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or closely related field and three (3) years’ experience as a sales rep., clinical specialist, or related occupation for neuromodulation, or Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Sales Management, Marketing, Biomedical Engineering, Nursing, or closely related field and five (5) years’ experience as a sales rep., clinical specialist or related occupation for neuromodulation. Must possess at least three (3) years’ experience with each of the following: providing technical support in the operating room and conducting In-Services to operating room staff and personnel; teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel; selling and servicing products to Pain management, Physiatrist, Oncology, Internal Medicine, and Primary Care Physician, or General Practitioner for SCS, Pain-Pumps, RF Ablation, Kyphon, Emprint and Osteocool; clinical study discussion, reviewing published data and supporting the implant/follow up of research; ongoing field intelligence reports; account, inventory, expense, and budget coordination; programing of Pain Stim patients intraoperatively in the Operating room setting; and troubleshooting of Intrathecal Pump Delivery systems.
Additional requirements: must be available and willing to serve customer 24/7 for emergent cases; must be insurable (car insurance) and have a valid driver’s license; must work remotely from home office within a 25-mile radius from the service area of Manhattan, Brooklyn and Bronx, NY territory. Salary: $170,300 per year
