About the role:


The Sales Rep is responsible for providing estimates, and guiding customers through the pool renovation process from initial contact to project handoff within a given geographic territory. The Sales Representative is responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing sales opportunities. This role builds relationships with customers and meets or exceeds sales targets. 


What you'll do:


  • Conduct site visits to assess project scope and customer needs
  • Provide accurate estimates and explain services (remodels, plaster, tile, coping, etc.)
  • Build rapport with clients and provide excellent service throughout the sales cycle
  • Close deals and coordinate smooth handoff to operations team for scheduling and execution
  • Maintain updated records of sales activities in CRM or tracking software and sales forecasts.
  • Stay up-to-date with products, finishes, materials, and pricing trends
  • Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing.
  • Collaborate with marketing and service teams to ensure customer satisfaction.


What we are looking for:


Qualifications: To effectively perform the duties for this position, individuals must be able to demonstrate competencies that are essential to the position, which include:   

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • 2+ years of experience in Business to consumer sales (construction, home improvement, pool industry sales experience preferred)
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to read basic construction plans or learn quickly
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to travel within assigned territory.
  • Comfortable using tablets, estimating tools, and CRM systems
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Self-starter with a hunter mentality and follow-through


Physical Requirements/Work Environment: 

  • Ability to walk job sites, measure pools, and climb in/out of pool shells or backyards
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Stand and drive for long periods
  • Occasionally lift presentation materials or samples (up to 30 lbs)


Performance Expectations: 

  • Be punctual for all scheduled appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the company positively in all customer interactions. 
  • Follow the company’s documented sales process.
  • Attend and actively participate in all company training sessions and team meetings. 
  • All leads need to be contacted in 4 methods (phone call, text, email and app) within 24 hours and the status updated in the system accordingly.
  • Ensure timely collection of all payments (50% down, 50% pre-plaster).
  • Provide quality control inspections on a regular basis with all projects.
  • Ensure the customer's last name is used for every P.O. and invoice.
  • Only use approved company documents, proposals, and tools for customer facing interactions. 
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately (bids, contracts, change orders, financing, permits, etc.) and approved in a timely manner on all projects.
  • Respond to all external and internal communication (calls, texts, emails) within 24 hours.
  • Log all leads, customer interactions and site visits in company systems and server on a weekly basis.
  • Report any customer complaints or concerns promptly to management. 
  • Commissions are paid out ONLY for completed projects assigned to you. If a project is reassigned to be completed by someone else, the commission is reassigned to who completes the project.
  • All projects must maintain 20% profit margin (10% sales rep, 10% company). Any loss will be split equally between the sales rep and the company against commission on the project. All discounts, no profit, at cost or aspects to settle a project must be approved and documented.
  • Any verbal discussion (questions, pricing or agreements) with management must be documented in a follow up email to management for confirmation, approval and any needed follow up.
