Job Summary:

 

The District Manager is responsible for leading and delivering field execution results for the Program within an assigned market. This role owns team-level performance outcomes by directly supervising, coaching, and developing Account Development Executives (ADEs), ensuring disciplined execution of acquisition activities, pipeline management, and data integrity.

Operating in a non-traditional, non-retail environment, the District Manager partners closely with program and business development leadership to drive consistent results, support local recruitment initiatives, and ensure program commitments are met. Success in this role requires strong people leadership, results accountability, and the ability to translate strategy into effective field execution.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

 

Field Leadership & Performance Accountability

• Owns team-level acquisition results, productivity, and pipeline health within the assigned market.

• Supervises, manages, and motivates ADE team members on a daily basis to achieve defined performance targets.

• Provides ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance management to drive consistent execution and results.

• Takes responsibility for meeting and exceeding team activity and productivity goals as defined by program leadership.

 

Talent Management & Development

• Participates in interviewing and selection of new ADE candidates to ensure strong talent quality and program readiness.

• Supports onboarding and skill development through field coaching, ride-alongs, and best-practice reinforcement.

• Promotes team engagement, professionalism, and accountability to maintain performance standards.

 

Acquisition Execution & Market Coverage

• Leads and supports field execution activities including door-to-door outreach, business qualification, and program presentations within targeted territories.

• Ensures prospective businesses are effectively guided through the application and vetting process to maximize conversion success.

• Partners with Business Development Managers to plan and execute local recruitment events such as lunch-and-learns, town halls, and community meetings.

• Collaborates with local organizations (e.g., chambers of commerce, economic development groups) to drive referral and acquisition opportunities.

 

Operational Discipline & Data Integrity

• Owns Salesforce compliance, pipeline management, and data accuracy for the assigned team and market.

• Monitors lead activity, conversion progress, and reporting to ensure visibility and reliability of results.

• Identifies execution gaps and implements corrective actions to improve outcomes and consistency.

 

Program & Stakeholder Support

• Acts as the primary field execution lead supporting program objectives and client commitments within the market.

• Ensures alignment between field activities and program strategies through consistent communication and execution.

• Escalates risks, trends, and opportunities to program leadership with recommended actions.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Prior experience demonstrating consistent high performance in a field sales, account development, or customer acquisition role.

• Proven ability to lead, coach, and influence team performance toward measurable results.

• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience managing activity pipelines and performance data in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred).

• Willingness and ability to travel extensively within assigned territory, including extended daily driving and occasional overnight travel.

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior people leadership or team supervision experience.

• Field-based sales or business development experience.

• Experience supporting community-based recruitment or acquisition initiatives.
