Position Description:

We are looking for a candidate with corporate and premium sales experience who thrives on breaking into new business within the corporate, promotional/premium, subscription box business, and literacy markets. The successful candidate should have strong sales experience dealing with custom publishing, corporate and premium clients, have a passion for selling, and be comfortable selling a variety of publishing lines including trade adult, children’s, eBooks and audio books.
Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be highly motivated, self-starter, and outgoing with at least 4+ years of book publishing experience in corporate and premium sales.
Major Responsibilities:

• Responsible for a channel generating over $5 million in sales annually
• Supervision of a Sales Assistant
• Overseeing our proprietary/custom publishing program
• Overseeing contractual buybacks of publishing deals negotiated by editorial
• Running PLs related to custom publishing deals
• Dealing with marketing, production, business office and operation’s depts.
• Selling different publishing lines including adult, children’s, e-Books and audio books

Required Skills / Knowledge:

• Very strong written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of premium and corporate sales
• Strong negotiations skills
• Dealing with clients face-to-face
• Self-starter and proactive

Experience Needed:

• At least 4+ years of book publishing experience in corporate and premium sales
• Experience in special markets/licensing sales
• Strong sales background in book publishing

Educational Background Required:

• Four-year college degree or better
