Account Manager - Capital Equipment
The Account Manager will drive sales of diagnostic capital equipment to hospitals and healthcare. systems. The account manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding sales of in an assigned territory and closing new business; working with Regional Sales Manager to identify and prioritize conversion targets; continually develop growth opportunities for products in the territory; grow and maintain sales in hospitals and physician office laboratories accounts within assigned geographic territory. Additionally, as a trusted advisor, you will partner with the Regional Sales Manager to identify and convert high-priority accounts through compelling product demonstrations and value-based selling.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve quota
- Build relationships with key decision makers at hospitals including executives, department heads, and purchasing
- Demonstrate equipment value proposition and ROI
- Manage sales process through contract negotiation and deal closing
- Collaborate with internal teams on proposals and implementations
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of medical device sales experience
- Proven track record in capital equipment sales to hospitals
- Understand/ have sales success utilizing the Complex Sale Model, strong consensus building skills and success in gaining access and selling to MD’s and C Suite
- Knowledge of the hospital buying process and stakeholders
- Ability to communicate equipment features, benefits and financials
- Strong business acumen and sales skills
