Responsible for selling McKesson's extensive portfolio of medical supplies and equipment. Account Manager will offer extended care sites the industry's largest array of products for patients needs, both now and as their medical conditions change. Medical supplies and equipment are available in 23 product categories, including durable medical equipment, home care supplies and oxygen equipment and supplies. Sales and/or services within an assigned geographic area, or list of customer accounts to achieve sales target. Pursues sales leads, visits existing and new customers, assesses customer needs and suggests appropriate products and services, negotiates price and delivery times within limits of authority and concludes sales orders and transactions to meet revenue target. Duties involve direct one-to-one communication with customers/clients. May generate and develop new channel partners. Responsible for maintaining effective agreements. Spends the majority of the time at customer sites. Activities include: prospecting, selling, negotiating, closing the sale, customer service, resolving conflicts, and growing the account. Also, responsible for managing effective agreements, supporting company initiatives, working with manufacturer and group purchasing partners, and sharing information with supervisor or a senior sales representative to team sell and close larger accounts. Role includes managing contracts, pricing, making proposals, on-boarding, servicing, and growing the accounts. Handles less complex assignments and partners with more senior representatives or supervisors to close sales when necessary.
Account Manager covering assigned region within the Post-Acute Care market segment.
Preferred candidates will live in Mississippi to provide better daily access to territory. This high-profile position will have responsibility for a region generating over $5M+ in revenue. Expectations are to grow both new and existing business by directing sales activities, developing strategic business plans, establishing, and monitoring sales goals, developing close relationships with key accounts, and supporting McKesson teams such as the District, Gov’t Sales, Clinical Support, McKesson Brand and Preferred Suppliers.
Primary responsibilities: - Create strategies to obtain new customers and market penetration within the long-term care space of SNF, Hospice, and Home Health Agency.
- Traveling within the sales region and visits with customers to ensure service levels are being met
- Provide customers with the resources they need to manage their business.
- Achieve financial goals and other goals as assigned by the business
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years sales experience or equivalent
Critical Skills - Experience selling
- Financial acumen
- Demonstrated cold calling and prospecting skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain customer base and achieve goals
- Mature confidence and self-awareness (can influence others diplomatically)
- Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SFDC, and Power BI
- Must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
Additional Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in distribution sales.
- Demonstrated success in building and growing a new region/territory.
- Healthcare Sales experience including selling into any of the following Long-Term Care, Extended Care, Home Health, Hospice, DME, and/or Wound Care highly preferred
Education - Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field or equivalent experience
Physical Requirements - Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Our Total Target Cash (TTC) Pay Range for this position:
$87,400 - $145,600
Total Target Cash (TTC) is defined as base pay plus target incentive.
