We are seeking a Sales Engineer to develop and manage current and new business opportunities for our client. In this role, you will collaborate with internal business partners to help develop and execute business strategies for the medical device and life sciences market. Our client designs custom manufacturing solutions used in medical product production. The position requires a technical background, experience selling large capital equipment and experience with solution selling to the medical device and pharmaceutical industry. In this role you will call on pharmaceutical and medical companies. The ideal candidate will have strong technical, financial, and commercial skills coupled with the hunter mentality to find and capture new opportunities to help meet assigned targets to drive profitable sales within the pharmaceutical and medical device industry.
Location: Minneapolis, MN
Travel: 60%+ domestic and international travel required.
Compensation: Base salary $130,000 with 30-40% commission. Potential total compensation ranges from $150-200K.
Responsibilities:
▪ Engineering background preferred. BS Degree or equivalent experience considered
▪ Strong technical acumen
▪ 15+ years sales experience in a capital equipment environment.
▪ Experience with a long sales cycle, familiarity with a complex and custom quoting process
▪ Background in medical equipment manufacturing and bio processing (Single Use Technologies) would be ideal.
