We are looking for an individual who is passionate about driving growth in a small businesses environment, competing against the behemoths in the industry, and having a positive impact on healthcare in the market they serve.

We are looking for an experienced hospital key account manager to drive new sales and current customer expansion in the acute care market. The hospital key account manager will constantly identify opportunities to gain new customers and grow the customer base and build positive relationships with new and existing clients. You should also be strategic and analytical when finding solutions to problems to ensure maximum client satisfaction.

To be a successful hospital key account manager, you should have strong sales ability, hospital healthcare business acumen to include an understanding of hospital product and services decision-making processes, and a strong working knowledge of the acute care healthcare market.

A successful hospital key account manager will build relationships with both potential customers and product manufacturers to present products and solutions that meet clinical, economic and operational customer needs. This individual will be a key member of the CHS USA commercial team and will work cross functionally to drive and expand sales and exceed customer expectations.


Hospital Key Account Manager Responsibilities:

  • Driving new sales and expanding current customer share of spend.
  • Expanding the customer base by upselling and cross-selling.
  • Building and maintaining profitable relationships with key customers.
  • Overseeing the relationship with customers handled by your team.
  • Resolving customer complaints quickly and efficiently utilizing appropriate resources
  • Keeping customers updated on the latest products and trends to increase sales.
  • Strategic account planning with leadership and support team using CRM tools
  • Knowing your competition and strategizing accordingly.


Hospital Key Account Manager Areas of Focus:

  • Visit and call on targeted customers weekly to identify and drive the following:
  • Lead generation for CHS specialist teams and presentation of specialty product opportunities to key decision makers.
  • Assessment through discussion with account of current needs based on history and internal customer knowledge – target CHS portfolio gains and expansion.
  • Current portfolio activity and expansion opportunities - weekly inventory check
  • Quote generation
  • Field order and product inquiry inbound calls / inquiries and respond / follow up.
  • Field customer service inquiries regarding products and ordering / order delivery needs.


Hospital Key Account Manager Preferred Requirements:

  • 3+ years of medical distribution sales experience
  • Degree in Business or Science disciplines.
  • Successfully grown a territory to $500K+ in revenue
  • Familiar with CRM tools.
  • Consistent track record of creating recurring revenue and growth
  • Strong working knowledge of the acute care market
  • Knowledgeable and familiar with GPO’s, rebates, and contracts
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a bias toward results
  • Ability to gain superior product knowledge and understand the customer environment
  • Team player with leadership skills
  • Align with the values of our organization
  • Excel in uncertain times and have the ability to nurture relationships and hit goals.

Work Environment:

Travel is required 50% of the time with occasional overnight within territory.


Base salary range: $80,000 - $90,000 annually plus commission of 75K, car allowance and benefits.
