Universal Biosensors (UBI) is a world leading, publicly listed Australian company (ASX:UBI) which develops, manufactures and sells biosensors for use in several industries around the world. Our biosensor technology has been used in more than 10 billion measurements for blood glucose monitoring and blood coagulation in diabetes and coagulation patients worldwide. More recently, we have pivoted our technology into non-medical products, including SENTIA™ for the global wine industry ( https://www.mysentia.com/) and Petrackr™ for the veterinary domain.
Sentia currently has 6 point-of-use wine analyzer tests in its catalogue with further product developments underway.

What you will do
UBI is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic and driven manager to lead our Sentia Sales team in the US. This is a key role within this high growth division based out of West Coast, reporting to the VP of North America.
This rare opportunity is task with driving meaningful sales growth for Sentia in US/Canada - you'd ideally be located in San Jose / San Francisco or surrouding eastern region (close proximity to wine regions preferred).
Who You Are
We are looking for a results-driven and proactive candidate who may be degree-qualified in Business/Marketing (or similar), with a strong capability of turning cold calls into real deals plus be able to guide your team in the same! You'd have a minimum of 3 years' similar team management experience within wine testing/making industry.

- Securing direct customers, e.g. wineries, wine instrument retailers, for Sentia
- Manage key winery and wine distributors' relationships
- Carry out competitor and business analysis work related to the wine industry
- Co-ordinate and participate in the development of all sales & marketing initiatives, including trade shows and stakeholder presentations
- Demonstrated ability to drive sales and lead the team in the same
- Strong relationship and customer management skills
- Ability to articulate a customer proposition and close a sale
- Strong presentation skills
- Ability to influence and communicate effectively
- Demand success of yourself
- Proven ability to execute targeted marketing strategies
- Excellent financial aptitude with the ability to undertake analysis work
